The Visit of Dr. Yun Young-ho to the Asian Vision Institute (AVI)
On 20th October 2021, Hon. Dr. Yun Young-ho, Director General of the Universal Peace Federation International, Chairman of Hyojeong Cultural Foundation and the envoy of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the Mother of Peace, paid a visit to the Think Tank 2022 Asia-Pacific Secretariat, located at the Asian Vision Institute (AVI). On that occasion, Hon. Dr. Yun presented a certificate of 150,000 USD to the AVI to support activities under the Think Tank 2022 Asia-Pacific Secretariat.
It is important to note that the Think Tank 2022 Asia-Pacific Secretariat was on the occasion of the “THINK TANK 2022 RALLY OF HOPE” on 12th September 2021 aiming at realising the vision and mission of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) by strengthening the ecosystem of peace in the Asia-Pacific region.
The main objectives of establishing this Secretariat are to connect people, connect knowledge, and connect actions on peace-making and reconciliation, with a focus on the Mekong Region and the Korean Peninsula.
Five main tasks are embedded as the core implementing activities for the Secretariat, including:
- Provide platforms for dialogues and networking,
- Conduct academic and policy research,
- Promote policy communication and coordination,
- Promote capacity building on leadership for peace, and
- Promote the visibility and impact of the Universal Peace Federation in the region.
