Since the end of the Cold War, the world is ruled under the unipolar system, which has the United States of America as the hegemon. However, the validity of such statement is being weakened by the emergence of other powers like China. Hence, now we are seeing a world full of actors ranging from small states, middle states, and super powers like the U.S. and China. As a result, the world politics is shaped by the rising competition between the super powers.
Recently, the tension between the U.S. and China has become more and more intense, and this makes other actors in the international system feel themselves under threats. By seeing the intensification of the relations and the higher relevancy of the Indo-Pacific Region to geopolitical rivalry between the super powers, in this episode, Asian Vision Dialogue with our guest speaker, Dr. PATH Kosal will discuss the implications of the US-Sino rivalry for the Indo-Pacific Region.
