KOICA provides 10 ambulances and 8,325 rapid test kits to the Ministry of Health
Khmer Times- The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) on January 12, 2022, provided 10 ambulances and 8,325 quick test kits to the Ministry of Health of Cambodia.
The handover ceremony was held at the Ministry of Health under the chairmanship of Ms. Youk Sambath យុគ សម្បត្តិ, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health and representative of Mam Bunheng ម៉ម ប៊ុនហេង, Minister of Health and Rho Hyunjun, Director of KOICA Cambodia.
Ms Sambath expressed gratitude to the Korean government and people for their continuous technical and financial assistance to Cambodia’s health sector, which includes human resource training, health facility development, and medical equipment provision.
Japanese Foreign Minister affirms attending ASEAN meetings in Cambodia this year
Khmer Times- H.E Prak Sokhonn, Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, spoke by phone with His Excellency HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Japan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, on January 11, 2022.
On behalf of the Royal Government and People of Cambodia, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his sincere appreciation to the Government and people of Japan for their unconditional support for Cambodia’s socioeconomic development, including their invaluable assistance in combating COVID-19 and mitigating the pandemic’s negative effects.
During the phone call, both Foreign Ministers addressed bilateral relations and expressed their delight at the growth of Cambodia and Japan’s long-standing friendly relationship and extensive collaboration.
H.E Prak Sokhonn also expressed his expectation to welcome Foreign Minister HAYASHI’s visit to Cambodia. His Excellency Minister HAYASHI looked forward to visiting and participating in the ASEAN related Meetings in Cambodia this year.
