MDEC and MDA to Catalyse Digital Economy Ecosystem
To raise awareness about initiatives and benefits of the digital economy ecosystem, the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and Malaysia Digital Association (MDA) signed an agreement to foster collaboration through corporate innovation, mentorship, and accelerator programmes. Under this agreement, MDEC and MDA agreed to organise Digital Wednesday, a speaking engagement series. MDA President and Chief Operating Officer of the digital arm of Malaysia media and entertainment group stated that the partnership is essential because it facilitates closer collaboration between MDA and MDEC and drives the industry forward. According to MDEC, this digital economy contribution will help Malaysia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reach 20% by year-end from 19.1% due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
