Cambodia is almost 100 percent ready to host the 13th Asia-Europe Summit (ASEM13) in late November this year.
The claim was made by H.E. Luy David, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Head of the 13th ASEM Summit (ASEM13) National Secretariat in a recent interview with AKP.
Key preparations such as the meeting agenda, necessary technical facilities for the online discussions, and administrative protocols and guidelines have been ready, he said.
He continued that the ASEM13 is expected to adopt three documents, namely the Chair’s Statement, the Phnom Penh Declaration on Post-COVID-19 Socio-Economic Rehabilitation, and ASEM Connectivity Paper.
Cambodia is coordinating series of discussion among the 53 ASEM partner countries and institutional partners to get their buy-in for the first two documents so as to prepare them for the approval by the Asia-Europe leaders during the summit.
The preparation of the last document, the ASEM Connectivity Paper, has been completed and is ready for the official adoption during the meeting, he added.
