200k Doses of Sinovac Vaccine of Cambodian assistance arrived Laos

On the morning of September 28, 2021, H.E Ouch Borith, Permanent Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representing Samdech Techo Hun Sen, handed over 20,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine to Dr. Bounfeng Phommalaysith, Minister of Health and Deputy Chairman of the Commission for the Prevention and Control of the Covid 19 Outbreak in Laos, which took place at the Trapeang Kriel International Border Crossing in Stung Treng Province, bordering Laos’ Champasak Province.
It should be noted that on the night of September 27, 2021, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, sent a letter to Mr. Phan Kham Viphavan, Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, confirming the donation to the Government of Laos of Covid 19 vaccine to contribute in the fight against the deadly disease Covid 19.
The provision of Cambodian vaccines to the Lao government at this time is an expression of the head of government’s deep concern for the well-being of the people of the two countries living along the border.
