Chinese envoy to UK says foreign attempts to besiege China
will always fail
On September 18, the Chinese ambassador to London pointed that foreign intention to contain China will always fail. Ambassador Zheng Zeguang further addressed to major powers should circumvent colonial thinking that could lead to a confrontation with the world’s second-largest economy. The assentation was made after forming a new security alliance toward the Indo-Pacific region between Australia, the UK, and the US, granting Canberra the technology and capability to launch nuclear-powered submarines. Meanwhile, he suggested that major powers should drop down their colonial mentality and other moves that lead to division or confrontation with China.
Additionally, Ambassador Zheng highlighted that “Attempts to contain or besiege China will always be an empty dream in the future, and no one can stop the Chinese people from making further progress”.
Besides, he suggests Britain should improve relations with Beijing while turning its foreign policy direction to the Indo-Pacific region.
Notwithstanding the foreign intention, Ambassador Zheng Zeguang reaffirmed that socialism and the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) are the only way to save China and socialism with Chinese characteristics is the only way to develop China.
