The Minister of Information backs a new media productivity training program and a new media museum

AKP- His Excellency Khieu Kanharith, Minister of Information, expresses his support for the initiative to hold three new training courses in 2022, including Novel and real book writing courses, documentary filmmaking courses that are important in the field of journalism, and the project to establish a journalism museum within the framework of new media.

Mr. Ky Soklip pointed out that in the past 10 years, the new media has opened short training courses to understand the techniques of how to write news in economics, trade, politics and other fields.

HE Khieu Kanharith supported the initiative of the three new media projects in which HE will be ready to send officials in the Ministry of Information at the provincial level who have passion for writing to participate in the training.

Samdach Techo Hun Sen extends condolence over loss of former Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia

AKP- Prime Minister Hun Sen, has expressed his condolences to Madam Sumiko Imagawa, over the passing of Mr Yukio Imagawa, former Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia.

According to the Embassy of Japan in Phnom Penh, Mr Yukio Imagawa passed away in Japan on Dec. 30, 2021. As a Japanese diplomat with deep understanding of Cambodian history, politics, economy, society, and culture, he persistently discussed with former King Sihanouk, Prime Minister Hun Sen and other relevant parties, and also served as Co-Chair of the Third Committee of the Paris International Conference on Cambodia in 1989 in order to achieve peace in Cambodia.

Mr Yukio Imagawa was involved in the arrangement of Japanese peacekeeping forces under the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC), the subsequent first general election, and the reconstruction process.
